When Should You Apply?

Before you apply for an Australian student visa, you must have a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from your chosen university or institution. To get a CoE, you need to have a formal offer of acceptance by the institution, confirmed it in writing and paid deposits toward tuition fees.
How Much Does It Cost?

This visa application will cost you AUD560, which needs to be paid while submitting your application. Visa processing times vary, but online applications are considerably quicker.
How to Apply?

Complete your student application fee at www.border.gov.au. For this, you must need Confirmation of Enrolment, your password, the visa application fee, and evidence of Overseas Student Health Cover.

Visa Requirements

When filling an online application form, you need to provide evidence of the following:

·         Financial requirement: Proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition fee, living costs etc.

·         English proficiency requirement: You must provide evidence of your English language proficiency. Eligible tests are TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson Test of English, and the Cambridge Advanced English test. You should know that the English language skill requirements may vary depending on the program you follow and the university or institution you are applying to.

·         Health requirements: All international students planning to study in Australia are obliged to purchase OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover). In some cases, a student may be advised to take a medical check-up to show that he/she is in good health. You can purchase this health coverage through your institution, or the five approved providers: BUPA Australia, Australian Health Management, Allianz Global Assistance, Medibank Private, and nib OSHC.
