Benefits of Australia Awards

The Awards are provided for the minimum period necessary for the students to complete the degree as specified by the Australian higher education institution, involving any preparatory training. Here are some major benefits apply:
  • Tuition fee
  • Payment of a single return, economy class airfare to and from Australia
  • Establishment allowances- a single amount of AUD5000 as a contribution towards textbooks, study materials and accommodation expenses.
  • CLE (Contribution to Living Expenses) - it’s a fortnightly contribution to basic living costs paid at a rate determined by the department. From 1 Jan 2013, CLE payable to awardees is AUD30000 per year.
  • IAP (Introductory Academic Program) - a mandatory 4-6 week program before the commencement of formal academic studies incorporating information on life and study in Australia.
  • OSHC for the duration of the award- offered to cover the student’s primary medical expenses.
  • PCE (pre-course English) fees- if deemed necessary, PCE may be provided to the students for in-country or in-Australia training.
Eligibility

If you want to avail Australia Awards, you must be 18 years of age or older. You must be unmarried, and there should not be any complications related to immigration or passport. You must have an Australian student visa.
